Chicky & Friends recently paid a visit to the students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Puchong Perdana, bringing with them load of fun and excitement! Firstly, prizes were given out for the Buddy Award essay writing competition, in which students wrote an essay about their best friend.

The contest was held as part of a road show by KFC celebrity mascot Chicky & Friends of primary schools in the Klang Valley to share with them a whole new out-of-classroom fun learning experience.

At each school they visit, Chicky & Friends put on special performances, have a dance and sing along session, present prizes and certificates to winners of KFC’s Buddy Award short story writing contest and give away other goodies.

To take part in the Buddy Award contest, students write a short story of not more then 200 words about how much they appreciate their best buddy and share their stories with their schoolmates when Chicky & Friends visit their school.

The contest is to encourage them to write and communicate well and at the same time make them appreciate from young the importance of having good and close friends.

First prize worth RM200 is a 32" Chicky Plush doll (Limited Edition), KFC hamper, 15-piece KFC bucket and a Buddy Award certificate. Second prize is a KFC hamper, 15-piece KFC bucket and Buddy Award certificate worth RM150 and third prize worth RM100.

All participating students also get Chicky & Friends students’ school packs. So far Chicky & Friends have visited 126 schools and met more than 122,979 students.
